The workshop, led by Seth Aronson, is designed to help mental health professionals explore Jewish perspectives on issues they likely encounter in their day-to-day work. Focusing during each meeting on a different topic of importance to mental health and wellbeing, participants will bring their own clinical and personal perspectives into conversation with a range of classical and modern Jewish texts. Topics will include grief, the wounded healer, aspects of listening, and more. The beit midrash will include small-group or paired (chavruta) text study as well as group discussion.
This season of Drisha’s beit midrash for mental health professionals is open to practitioners at all levels of clinical and professional experience. Clergy with a background in pastoral work are invited to participate as well.
5 sessions: April 9, 16, 23, 30, May 7
Professionals: $75; students $25
