Stanton Street Synagogue
Hear that rumble? That’s Passover, steadily approaching. Like the the Matzah Ball in that Indiana Jones-themed Shalom Sesame episode, it rolls closer and closer. And closer! When will you clean?? When will you shop?? And most importantly: How will you make closet space for your cute new holiday outfits??!?!?!?!??!
Never fear; Stanton is here! Like the birdies in Cinderella and like Moses, the savior of the Jewish nation, we may be unassuming. You may not have even heard of us. But let us lead you out of Egypt (a metaphorical Egypt, where clutter is akin to slavery) this pre-Passover season! We’re taking your spillover with open arms: Women’s, men’s, and kids’ clothing, accessories and shoes, records, books, DVDs, and CDs in clean and desirable condition are all welcome. Drop-off will be on March 29th, the Sunday before Passover, at 180 Stanton Street (between Clinton Street and Attorney Street). All donations will be rejuvenated, refreshed, and resold at our first-ever Pop-up Vintage Boutique on April 26th, with most of the proceeds going towards necessary repairs to our over-100-year-old historical building, and a portion towards a to-be-determined charity.
If you need help transporting your wares to our remote corner of this city, PM us, and we’ll lend support. And remember: That Shabbos robe from the late 80’s could be someone else’s find of the season!
