Is there a maximum or minimum of what a husband should give his wife in her ketubah? What responsibilities does a woman have to her husband? How long should a betrothal last? Through our study of the fifth chapter of Ketubot, we will explore the ways that the rabbis answer these and other questions. This class will focus on exploring the structure and language of the Gemara and building skills for independent learning. Class time will be divided between seder (partner-learning) and shiur, and the ability to read unvocalized Hebrew is required
