We will analyze the Talmudic text and medieval commentaries with an emphasis on methodology, skill-building, and understanding the development of halakhah. Students will have the opportunity to prepare sources with a havruta (study partner) during a supervised study period at the start of each class. Students should have prior experience studying Talmud with traditional commentaries
