Always good to know what’s going on in Israel. To sum it up, Kadima, Ariel Sharons/ehud Olmerts party gained the most seats (28). but it was less then they thought they would get. Labor- Amir Peretz ,a.k.a Mr. 70’s mustache man party, came in second with 20 seats. Shas, the ultra religious party gained 13 seats. Yisrael Beytenu, A pary started in 1999, based on a platform of being the new immigrants party won 12 seats. And finally Likud, led by Bibi , got rocked and only won 11 seats. The great thing about Israel politics is that although most of these partys each have opposite ideology from one another. they will have to come together to get anything done. Expect another great year of brawls in the Kenneset.
