Jon Fursh, a New York native and current resident of Boston, has produced a Hanukkah song as a testament of his love for the latke. Latkelicious is a Hanukkah Parody Song of Fergie's Fergalicious).
Hanukkah songs, especially parodies, have always been popular with the American public. Jon attempts to recreate that feeling with Latkelicious, as both a tribute to the Jewish faith and to Fergie's music.
The lyrics of Latkelicious describe the latke as “so delicious,” just as Fergie describes herself in Fergalicious. Much of the lyrics were based of the syllabic sentence structures found in the original song, in an effort to create a powerful parody.
