Date(s) - 01/25/2016 - 02/29/2016
6:00 pm - 7:45 pm
In this advanced Talmud shiur, we will engage in intensive study of the fascinating third chapter of Masechet Sukkah, Lulav Hagazul. The shiur will assume strong facility with decoding and analyzing a page of Bavli with rishonim, and will work to perfect those skills and add more (with an openness to source-critical, literary, conceptual/”lomdishe,” and other hermeneutical lenses) to our tool-chest. Participants will be asked to be active partners in creating the course, with off-line havruta preparation, independent research, and seminar-style presentations integrated into our curriculum.
Mondays, 6:00 – 7:45pm
5 sessions: January 25, February 1, 8, 22, 29
Tuition: $125; financial assistance available.
