Drisha, NYC's hotspot for Jewish learning for the ladies, announced it's accepting applications for its new fellowship:  THE ARTS FELLOWSHIP. Creative writers, visual artists, filmmakers, performers, musicians, and dancers are invited to apply to DRISHA's newest torah fellowship.  It is a fellowship for those who would like to bring their Jewish learning to their art and to those interested in serving as educators or role models in the Jewish community.

DRISHA NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ARTS FELLOWSHIPS

Application Deadline: April 16th, 2007

The Drisha Arts Fellowships Initiative will enter its second year in September 2007. The initiative gives women who are professional artists the opportunity to study in an open and dynamic learning environment, and develop skills to read and interpret classic Jewish texts. Both
beginners and advanced learners are eligible.

Creative writers, visual artists, filmmakers, performers, musicians, and dancers are invited to apply, especially those would like to bring their Jewish learning to their art and to those interested in serving as educators or role models in the Jewish community.

Arts Fellows, who study full-time, receive a tuition waiver and a  stipend; Arts Awards Recipients, who study part-time, receive a tuition  waiver and an award at the end of the year.
